About The Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant you will be passionate about providing one on one support to older Australians living in Tamworth and surrounding local areas. You will support our clients to continue living independently in their own homes by providing domestic assistance, personal care, social supports and welfare checks.
You will support multiple clients each day, so a willingness to travel is essential. KM’s will be reimbursed while you are working. We have a Casual opportunity available with most hours worked between 7am to 7pm, no sleepover shifts required.
Key Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
- Personal Care including grooming and showering
- Community access to medical appointments and social activities
- Supporting with tasks and routines
- Build positive relationships with clients
Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar)
- An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and complete an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
