                              Role: Therapeutic Youth Worker

                              Employment Type: Casual

                              Location:  Orange and Bathurst

As a Therapeutic Youth Worker within our Intensive Therapeutic Care, you’ll be a key support for children & young people aged 12 to 17 years who’ve experienced childhood trauma, abuse, or neglect. 

You will be part of a dedicated to team working to ensuring a safe, homelike environment where these young people can thrive, supporting them to learn independent life skills, develop problem solving skills and to build appropriate and positive relationships with others.

Our residential homes operate 24/7, therefore successful applicants will need to be able and willing to work a roster which regularly includes afternoon, overnight (including sleepover) and weekend shifts.

Role requirements:

  • Hold or be actively completing a Diploma level (or higher) qualification in Community Services or a related field (Please note: a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
  • A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate
  • Willingness to assist with activities of daily living, including personal care (if required).
  • Able to work a roster pattern that includes shifts across afternoon, overnight (including sleepover) and weekends
  • A current driver’s licence

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
