About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.

We are currently looking to fill 2 permanent part time positions. You must be available for one of the following:

Line 1

Week 1

Monday 11:30am to 9am (Active Overnight)

Tuesday 11:30am to 9am (Active Overnight)

Saturday 9am to 7pm

Sunday 9am to 7pm

Week 2

Tuesday 6am to 10am
Friday 9am to 7pm

 

Line 2

Week 1

Wednesday 7:30am to 2pm

Thursday 6am to 10am

Week 2

Monday 3pm to 11:30pm

Tuesday 3pm to 11pm

Wednesday 10am to 8pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised active support to four male clients
  • Follow individual Behaviour Support Plans
  • Promote independence, choice, and engagement in daily activities
  • Timely completion of documentation, shift notes, and incident reports
  • Support clients in participating in community access activities, including sports, movies, dining out, and social outings
  • Use clear, patient, and adaptable communication to support clients

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to confidently implement behaviour support strategies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
