About the role
As the Regional Director for Child Youth and Family in our Northern NSW region, reporting to the Executive Director NSW, you will lead and manage the activities of CYF multi-disciplinary teams to ensure they are meeting the safety, well-being and permanency goals of children and young people.
You will drive the growth and sustainability of services across the region by strengthening geographical presence, building strategic community and government partnerships, and leading programs including Intensive Therapeutic Care, Family Based Care, Therapeutic Supported Independent Living, Mockingbird Family™ and Families Together Program. The role focuses on developing carers and staff, providing stable leadership, working collaboratively with other Regional Directors, and strategically positioning services for re-commissioning. Travel will be required across Ballina, Tamworth, Taree and Coffs Harbour.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support teams to achieve the business plan outcomes and other organisational programs and initiatives, whilst demonstrating LWB’s values.
- Model and lead the required work environment, culture, systems and processes necessary to embed standards, behaviours and practices consistent with the values, work health and safety, policy & legislative requirements and pillars of practice.
- Model and implement a culture of continuous improvement throughout the program and service areas, focusing on systems and process that will improve client outcomes
- Manage the delivery of services through Client Services teams to ensure each regional area complies with corporate policies & processes, the Strategic Plan, business plan and the relevant statutory regulations, funding agreements and accreditation standards
- Lead and champion effective implementation of LWB endorsed evidence informed practice models, including CARE and TCI, and intervention
- Work within a partnership model to ensure quality service delivery, clinical governance, financial sustainability and responsive human resource development and management
Role Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in field such as Health Services, Social Work or related discipline.
- Drivers Licence
- Significant experience in managing programs and multi-disciplinary teams in the areas of child protection and/or out of home care.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to build a shared understanding of, and commitment to the organisation’s Purpose and Values
- Working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory environment for areas of business responsibility.
- Demonstrated understanding of budgets and acquittals and expertise in financial management.
