About the role

Permanent full time position that can be located anywhere in Australia, where you have full flexibility to work from home or one of our offices. Join our dynamic national team as a Senior Software Developer, where you’ll craft innovative software solutions that drive business success and delight clients. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to define precise application requirements, ensuring every solution is both fit‑for‑purpose and user‑friendly. Lead the end‑to‑end production release process and champion ongoing support, delivering reliable, high‑impact systems that keep our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full software development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with standards and meeting documented requirements.
  • Analyse and build applications following LWB methodology, enterprise architecture, and best practices.
  • Partner with coworkers and business stakeholders to define requirements, delivering solutions that are both fit‑for‑purpose and fit‑for‑use.
  • Produce clear design documentation for stakeholder approval.
  • Automate testing where feasible, including unit, integration, and UI tests.
  • Coordinate production releases with DevOps and Infrastructure teams, automating environment transitions when possible.
  • Implement proactive monitoring, logging, and reporting to detect issues early.
  • Create comprehensive system documentation to enable seamless team support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align software solutions with business needs.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science or similar.
  • Experience with agile development methodology, including scrum.
  • Strong experience working within a test driven devops culture.
  • Experience with the AWS platform including serverless services.
  • Working knowledge of one or more modern programming languages (Node.js/TypeScript, C#).
  • Working knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (UiPath or similar).
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools – Jira, Confluence.
  • Strong database expertise, including more than one of PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
