About the role
As a Case Manager for our Family Based Care team, you will collaborate closely with children, young people, their families and carers to create and implement case plans that strive towards achieving the permanency goals of those we support.
You'll build and maintain strong, functional relationships with both the children and their families, ensuring that every voice is heard and every need is met. Your efforts will be pivotal in supporting and monitoring placements, guiding carers in their foster care journey and helping them implement effective strategies that best support the children and young people within their care.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with Children & Young People in out of home care and an understanding of trauma and its effects on children and young people.
This role is offered as a permanent full time opportunity working Monday to Friday from 8:30am – 5pm with one Rostered Day Off allocated each month. Regular travel across the Goulburn, Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions is a requirement of this role. A tool of trade vehicle will be provided.
Role Requirements
- Relevant bachelor’s degree, or a relevant diploma and be working towards a degree. (A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience and a willingness to undertake further training)
- Previous case management experience within an Out Of Home Care (OOHC) setting
- Experience supporting Children & Young People with disability, who have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect.
- Understanding of current casework practices for children and young people
- Current drivers’ licence
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
