About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Disability, you provide high-level administrative and operational support to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the Disability Programs nationally. This is a permanent full time newly created position that is located from Newcastle. Whilst you will have flexibility to work from home there will be times you will be required to be in the office.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist as a liaison between internal teams and Disability Programs.
  • Be a central point of contact for the Administration Support ensuring national alignment and consistency.
  • Coordinate meetings and reporting, prepare agendas and minutes as needed.
  • Use LWB systems and dashboards to compile data and reports.
  • Support compliance, quality, practice, and safeguarding activities.
  • Assist with P&C and Safety tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Provide project support.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Contribute to service and program improvement through forums and reviews.
  • Assist with procurement, accounts payable, credit card reconciliation, and expense tracking.
  • Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and preparing documents and presentations.

Skills & experience

  • Cert IV in Business Administration (or equivalent) or relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience in administration supporting management in a national geographically dispersed organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
  • Proactive, uses initiative, and applies sound judgment.
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (reports, correspondence, complex documents).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
