About the Role
Joining our team in Nollamara and surrounding suburbs on a casual basis, you will support people with disability who access our community access supports, as well as assisting them with activities of daily living in their home.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting individuals with psychosocial disability (experience with borderline personality disorder will be highly regarded) and will be confident in de-escalating heightened behaviours. You must be available consistently for at least one of the following shifts:
- Monday 9am - 12pm
- Wednesday 9:30am - 1:30pm
- Friday 9am - 2pm
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care
- Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
- Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
- Maintain thorough record keeping
- Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleauges
- Advocate for client choice and control
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with people with psychosocial disability
- Experience working with borderline personality disorder highly regarded
- Previous experience working with behaviour support plans
- Confidence in de-escalating hightened behaviours
- Experience with personal care and manual handling
- Strong computer and verbal and written communication skills
- An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
