About the Role

Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team on a permanent part time basis, you will support people with disability to live their best lives in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster, including sleepover shifts and active nights.

To provide best support, the successful candidate will have previous experience working with people with disability or mental health conditions and be confident manual handling. 

We have multiple permanent part time positions of 40 to 60 hours per fortnight available at our SIL homes in Mascot and Rosebery, including sleepover shifts, active nights and some shorter shifts. Detailed rosters can be provided upon request.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
  • Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
  • Maintain thorough record keeping
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
  • Advocate for client choice and control
  • Confident in driving a large van to transport clients

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with people with disability or mental health conditions
  • Previous experience working with behaviour support plans
  • Confidence in manual handling
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence, confident to drive a large van
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
