The role: 
 
As a House Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of Therapeutic Residential Carers supporting young people living in Out of Home Care services. In this rewarding leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of two residential care homes, ensuring both staff and young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve individual goals and positive outcomes.

You will work collaboratively with families, communities, and key stakeholders to build strong support networks around each young person. Passionate about family engagement and cultural connection, you will actively support young people to maintain meaningful relationships with family, community, and culture.

As a compassionate and strengths-based leader, you will foster an inclusive and supportive team environment where people feel valued and motivated to make a difference. You will be a strong advocate for children and young people, committed to ensuring every young person is heard, respected, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Skills & Experience: 

  • Either hold or be actively working towards a Cert IV in Child & Family Intervention or other relevant qualification.  
  • Experience working with children who are at risk or in the care of Child Protection Family Services and/or experience working with vulnerable people 
  • Experience working in a 24/7 residential care setting in a senior support worker or supervisor role
  • Valid unrestricted Australian drivers’ licence. 
  • Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification. Must be obtained at your own cost and prior to commencement

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, Working with Children Check and NT Child Protection Check.
