About the role
Provide senior specialist expertise in the design, architecture and delivery of workforce management application solutions within our ICT Business Applications team. This role will focus on UKG Pro, while also supporting Kronos WFC, which remains an important operational platform while Life Without Barriers continues its transition to UKG Pro.
This is a hands-on solution architecture role, with a strong focus on workforce management configuration, integrations, data, security, supportability, testing, implementation and transition to business-as-usual support.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, project teams and ICT colleagues to understand requirements, assess solution options and support the design and implementation of practical, scalable and sustainable system solutions. You will also act as a senior specialist and escalation point for complex UKG Pro and Kronos WFC matters, providing guidance across solution design, system changes, documentation, governance and continuous improvement.
This is a permanent full-time position and offers the flexibility to work from your preferred location anywhere in Australia, whether that is your home or one of our offices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of UKG Pro solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs, operational requirements and organisational standards.
- Support Kronos WFC while it remains in use, including consideration of operational continuity, transition impacts and integration dependencies.
- Provide expert advice on solution options, system capabilities, design decisions, impacts, dependencies, risks and trade-offs.
- Support complex system changes, enhancements, upgrades, fixes, integrations and project activities involving UKG Pro and Kronos WFC.
- Lead or support design, build, testing and implementation activities, ensuring solutions are practical, controlled, supportable and sustainable.
- Work with stakeholders to identify, analyse and translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose system solutions and configuration approaches.
- Ensure solution designs consider integration, data, security, scalability, supportability, user experience and downstream operational impacts.
- Contribute to impact assessments, operational readiness, transition planning and handover activities to support effective adoption into BAU support.
- Act as a senior specialist and escalation point for complex workforce management application, design and integration matters.
- Provide technical and functional guidance to Business Applications team members, including support with configuration, testing, documentation and issue resolution.
- Work with vendors, service providers, ICT colleagues and business stakeholders to coordinate issue resolution, system changes and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience with UKG Pro and Kronos WFC within a medium to large organisation.
- Experience designing, implementing and supporting UKG Pro and Kronos WFC, including configuration, testing, documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong understanding of workforce management processes, including time and attendance, rostering, scheduling, award interpretation, payroll impacts and operational support considerations.
- Experience supporting complex system changes, enhancements, upgrades, integrations and project activities.
- Experience translating business requirements into practical system solutions, including consideration of process, data, integration, security and support impacts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess issues, identify options and recommend effective outcomes.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder discussions to clarify needs, resolve issues and support solution outcomes.
- Experience working with business stakeholders, vendors, service providers and technical teams to deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes.
- Experience using structured change, governance, documentation and support processes.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in information systems, business systems, technology or a related field.
