Role: Program Manager - Youth Housing
Location: Flexible - Based in either Lockyer Valley, Southern Downs or Moreton Bay regions
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
As the Program Manager, you will lead a newly established Towards Ending Homelessness for Young Queenslanders program supporting young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping them access safe housing and long term stability.
You will provide operational leadership to ensure high quality, trauma informed and culturally safe service delivery. This includes overseeing staff performance, service delivery systems and program outcomes to ensure young people receive consistent, strengths based support.
This role may oversee our services in the Lockyer Valley, Southern Downs and Moreton Bay regions, and regular travel within these regions is a requirement of the position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the TEHYQ program ensuring compliant and outcome focused service delivery
- Supervise and support staff delivering housing focused case management to young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
- Oversee case planning ensuring young people are supported into safe housing and pathways to independence
- Manage program performance, risk and quality ensuring continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain partnerships with housing providers, government agencies and community organisations
- Lead a multidisciplinary team culture grounded in reflective practice, accountability and trauma informed practice
- Risk management engagement in the community including assertive outreach and afterhours client work
Skills & Experience
- A degree qualification in Human Services or similar
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or program management role within youth housing, homelessness or related human services programs
- Strong background supporting young people experiencing housing instability, complex needs or disadvantage
- Proven ability to lead teams in high demand, dynamic service environments
- Strong understanding of trauma informed practice and the impacts of homelessness and social disadvantage
- Ability to engage effectively with young people, including those who are disengaged or experiencing complex trauma
- Experience working collaboratively across housing, government and community service systems
- Strong organisational, problem solving and risk management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and any relevant stated based checks.
