About the Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will be providing personalised support to older Australians who reside around Bundaberg & surrounding local suburbs. The shifts are short, split shifts between 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with no evening, weekend or sleepover shifts. You will need to travel to each clients home and will be reimbursed .99 cents per kilometre travelled between and with clients. This is a permanent part time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance duties, consisting of light cleaning duties, changing of bed linen, washing/laundry
- In-home supports such as meal preparation and assistance with daily living
- Personal care including showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and well-being (for example, identification of wound care needs, skin integrity, etc.)
- Social supports including support to attend medical appointments, social activities in the local community, building/maintaining social networks
Skills & Experience
- Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
- An Australian Driver’s Licence and ownership of a registered and reliable vehicle
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
