About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Regional Practice Lead to join our Child, Youth & Family team in Toowoomba.
In this role you will provide expert guidance and practice leadership across our Foster Care, Residential Care, and Youth Housing and Reintegration (YHaRS) Services. This position plays a vital part in enhancing practice quality, upholding safeguarding standards, and achieving quality outcomes for children, young people, families and carers within our programs.
This is a Full Time, Maximum Term contract position (12 months). Whilst based at our Toowoomba office, hybrid work arrangements are also offered.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based leadership across Foster Care, Residential Care, and YHaRS programs, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed practice.
- Support the delivery of carer assessments, supervision, and reviews aligned with LWB policies and care models.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policy, and practice standards across OOHC and youth services.
- Lead consistent implementation of care frameworks such as CARE and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and the adoption of new practice models.
- Coach and supervise staff to build capability and support high performance.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Proven experience in child protection, family support, or youth services.
- Experience providing practice leadership across Foster Care, Residential, and/or Youth Housing settings.
- Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks related to out of home care and youth services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams and embed evidence-based practices.
- Cultural competence and commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
