Rostering Officer (National After Hours Service). Maximum Term, Part Time - Flexible Location

                    Employment Type: Part Time, Maximum Term (to 30 June 2026)

                    Location: Completely flexible, as this is a work from home opportunity!

                    Hourly Rate: From $38.65 per hour + penalties (SCHADS level 3)

As a Rostering Officer, you will work as part of our National After-Hours Service (NAHS) to coordinate and optimise the engagement of available employees to best meet client requirements and promote a sustainable workforce. 

We have two (2) positions available, with the roster for each listed below. Please note, alterations to the allocation of day of work/shifts are unable to be accommodated. 

Position 1: 51 hours per fortnight

Position 2: 54 hours per fortnight

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain staffing rosters in accordance with client needs, funding allocations, budget and award requirements.
  • Fill shifts impacted by unplanned leave or changes in client support needs
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders effectively, particularly in response to schedule/roster changes, roster concerns and complaints
  • Work with stakeholders to understand Service Agreements and client needs
  • Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner, including call logs and employee schedule changes within relevant systems

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a high-volume rostering or scheduling role, ideally utilising the SCHADS award
  • Previous experience in the utilisation of rostering software systems (Microsoft Teams Shifts experience if preferred)
  • An understanding of service delivery within residential Child, Youth & Family services
  • Demonstrate experience managing competing priorities to deliver outcomes within required timeframes
  • Confidence to respectfully navigate complex or difficult situations/conversations with stakeholders
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and professional relationships with stakeholders

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and any relevant stated based checks.
