About the Role
As a Roster Officer you will support the disability operational team by managing live rosters, responding to real-time staffing changes and ensuring service continuity while minimising overtime and agency reliance and maintaining service quality.
The successful candidate must have previous experience in a rostering role with experience within community services rostering highly desirable.
This is a full time parental leave contract through to 30 September 2027 which can work from home or one of our offices across Australia.
You will work across Monday to Friday between the hours of 6am to 6pm on a rotating roster (no public holidays).
Key responsibilities
- Ensure rosters reflect client service agreements and match workers based on skills, interests and capability.
- Work with stakeholders to understand Service Agreements, client needs and Support Worker availability.
- Monitor and adjust published rosters to respond to service changes and staff availability.
- Build positive relationships and collaborate with stakeholders who support clients to ensure efficient, effective and sustainable rostering solutions.
- Routinely utilise established mechanisms including rostering system/s, technical solutions and documentation systems.
- Respond to ad hoc changes required by clients and workers by adjusting rosters and communicating with stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-stream support activities, which may include assisting with forward planning rostering on a regular or adhoc basis.
- Support roster publication planning and contribute known impacts to the Forward Planning team.
Skills & Experience
- Previous rostering experience
- Experience rostering for community services roles highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in managing competing priorities within fast paced environment
- Working knowledge of workforce management principles, HSE, awards and roster optimisation.
- A collaborative approach, experience partnering with a range of stakeholders to optimise a best fit workforce for clients.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
