Department Summary

The Lundquist College of Business (LCB) is one of seven schools housing academic programs on the University of Oregon campus located in Eugene, Oregon. The College works cooperatively with other UO Colleges and Schools to prepare students for a broad range of career paths. There are approximately 50 full-time faculty members, 48 instructors and pro tem instructors, 40 administrative positions, 30 staff members, 1,200 undergraduate majors, 2,250 pre-business majors, 1,200 undergraduate minors, 170 master’s students and 30 doctoral students.

The Oregon Executive MBA program is a graduate business degree for mid- to senior-level professionals. Approximately 50 working business leaders begin the lockstep cohort program each September. Instructors for the cohort deliver courses in Portland, Oregon on Fridays and Saturdays. For further information on the program see: oemba.uoregon.edu.

Position Summary

The Lundquist College of Business, Oregon Executive MBA Program, maintains a pool of candidates interested in filling Pro Tempore Instructor positions as needs arise. Pro Tem faculty are qualified part-time instructors offered teaching opportunities based on course demand and staffing. Appointments are limited duration and potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need, funding, and performance. All positions are subject to funding. Salary is based on qualifications and rank.

Pro Tempore faculty work under the supervision of the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and/or the requisite department head. Pro tempore faculty responsibilities are limited to teaching in their area of expertise.

LCB, Oregon Executive MBA Program seeks applicants in the following areas:
Accounting; Finance; Management; Marketing; Global Business; Leadership; Strategy; Business Writing; Statistic and Quantitative Analysis; Entrepreneurship; Business Law, and other related topics.

Minimum Requirements

Masters degree in relevant field or advanced degree with significant professional experience in relevant field.

In rare circumstances, a bachelor's degree with significant professional experience may substitute.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate and demonstrated teaching experience preferred.
