Department Summary
The Department of Mathematics is a diverse and growing department with strengths in Algebraic Geometry, Analysis, Combinatorics, Differential Geometry, Mathematical Biology, Number Theory, Representation Theory, Topology, and Probability. The department has a thriving Ph.D. program with approximately 65 graduate students, 33 tenured and tenure-track faculty, 8 postdocs, and 14 lecturers.
Position Summary
The mathematics pro-tempore instructor pool is for part-time, temporary, limited-duration appointments not to exceed one year, but with the possibility of renewal for up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need, funding, and performance. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.
Minimum Requirements
• M.S. or M.A. in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or closely related field.
• Evidence of teaching ability.
