The Division of Student Life supports the University’s academic mission through comprehensive programs and services that promote and advance student learning and success, while fostering an inclusive and vibrant campus community. Student Life includes four departments, the University Career Center, Office of the Dean of Students, Erb Memorial Union, and Physical Education & Recreation, and a number of key programs, including the Holden Center for Leadership and Community Engagement, Parent and Family Programs, Major Student Events (Commencement, Homecoming, University Day), Student Engagement & Success (Student Government), Student Conduct and Community Standards, and Support for Students in Crisis and Students of Concern.
The Office of the Dean of Students is committed to advancing student learning that builds community. The programs reporting to the Dean of Students work with other Division of Student Life staff, student groups, faculty, and other members of the university community in the development of curricular and co-curricular opportunities that ensure the integration of academic and student life at the University of Oregon.
The Program Director of the UO Women's Center serves as an advocate and educator on issues pertinent to women on campus and gender issues in general. The Program Director is responsible for guiding the vision through programs and services including annual events and educational and outreach support. The Program Director administers the Center; supervises the initiation and implementation of educational programs; responds to program and service requests, provides direct service via resources and referrals to students; and works to promote the best possible working and educational environment for women and people of all genders at the university.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Two years of demonstrated experience working with and supervising students, preferably in a college, university, or similar setting.

• Master's degree in Student Affairs/Higher Education Administration, Sociology, Women and Gender Studies, or another relevant field.
• Demonstrated successful leadership and program management experience in a women's center or similar work setting.
• Prior experience working with and advising students or student organizations in a college, university, or similar setting, including but not limited to non-profit organizations and community agencies.
• Skills in selecting, training, and supervising staff.
• Ability to design, implement and promote outreach programs consistent with the mission of the Women's Center.
