At NewDay, we want to build the best consumer lending experiences in the world helping people move forward with credit.

We are looking for someone to lead our Security Architecture team to help us secure our modern cloud-native platform for brands such as Aqua, Marbles, Amazon, AO, Argos, and John Lewis & Partners.

You will help by facilitating work delivered by security architects and engineers:

• Helping to build and scale out an embedded security culture, working with teams to ensure secure-by-design and defense in depth principles
• Reviewing the security posture of our platforms identifying security risks and issues, and working with, security engineering, as well as platform and product teams to improve our platform
• Deliver clear recommendations for building security capabilities to deliver security policy and compliance objectives
• Leading internal learning sessions

Your Skills and Experience

We need knowledge, experience & expertise in:

• Leading security architecture teams
• Managing team ways of working and ownership of work items
• Experience in financial services, regulated environments, consumer lending, payments, or card issuing
• Planning and delivering roadmaps, contributing to security strategy
• Good understanding of security risk management, and of security principles
• Security and compliance frameworks and standards, e.g. PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR

And would love you to know or learn:

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes cloud-native services
• Securing GitOps and Continuous Deployment
• Relevant certifications such as SABSA, CISSP, CCSK, AZ-500
