Non-Functional Testing Engineer

Your new role at NewDay

As we transform our QA team into QE function to accelerate the flow of QUALITY product to our customers at NewDay! We're looking for some strong hands on technical quality engineers to help us achieve it.

The Quality Engineering teams that we’re establishing will help us improve testing methodologies & establish test template, collaborating with products and engineering teams to complement models like feature delivery combined with Shift left and help drive the future growth of NewDay.

0-12 months you'll deliver

  • Work alongside multi-functional teams to understand objectives and capture Non-functional requirements
  • Knowledge and experience on non-functional testing categories such as Stress, load, endurance, volume, resiliency, disaster recovery and scalability testing
  • Experience in crafting re-usable test-scripts, non-functional test scenarios from Non-Functional requirements and by analysing application usage patterns
  • Play a keyrole in infrastructure provisioning, system configuration and deployments
  • Interpretation of System Resource Monitoring outputs to determine performance bottlenecks
  • Ensure test defects are supervised to closure
  • Provide actionable information and suggestions for scalability and resiliency of the NewDay platform to stakeholders
  • Develop Dashboard and reports to provide ongoing transparency into the performance of products.
  • Ensure supporting documents and knowledge base is crafted from test results for further reference

What you'll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

  • Strong Experience of Non-functional scripting and testing experience of software
  • Experience working in Agile scrum teams
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of Performance test tools including but not limited to Jmeter, K6, BlazeMeter, Application Insights, Dynatrace, Grafana dashboards and deployment technologies such as Git hub Actions, TeamCity
  • Proficiency with 2 or more of following programming languages/frameworks: C#, Java, .Net
  • Good understanding of cloud platform services (AWS, Azure) such as app services, azure functions, cosmos DB, Traffic Managers, Load Balancers and DevOps concepts (containerization, pipelines), SQL tuning, PowerShell, Micro-service architecture
