Your new role at NewDay

 

As part of a successful Operations MI Team, you’ll understand and build solutions using key technologies such as Databases, Data Import/Export (ETL), Reporting Tools and Web Applications. You’ll work closely with internal business stakeholders to find innovative solutions for Operational Business data requests in order to enable effective decision making.

You’ll deliver

 

  • Working with the Senior Operational Management team to understand requirements and create performance reporting that enables key fact-based decision making.
  • You will be responsible for building of reporting/web page applications using the latest design standards and techniques. These will range from single page to multi-page outputs, ensuring these satisfies the required UX and UI for the relevant audience.
  • Ensuring industry data governance compliance is adhered to and built into any activities. Follow up-to-date data storage regulation and principles – PCI-DSS, GDPR and internal Data Governance policy.
  • You will have understanding and developing the MI infrastructure to deliver accurate & timely Operational data from source systems across the Business.
  • You will have ownership of projects and associated business team relationships, working in line with internal control and governance practice.

 

What you’ll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

  •  Qualification in SQL programming language or relevant transferrable IT subject.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel / PowerPlatform (PowerBI) Skills
  • Understanding of Database concepts and design.
  • Data analytics skills.
  • Stakeholder Management and influencing skills.
  • Data analysis/problem solving skills and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
  • Commitment to quality and superb attention to detail.
  • Planning & Prioritisation Skills.
  • Understanding of Operational Key Performance Indicator’s and metrics
  • Advanced use of Visual Studio (create SSIS packages)

 

And would love you to know or learn: 

  • Web development skills – ideally ASP.Net
  • Understanding of programming concepts and design.
  • Understanding of Contact Centre technologies, processes
  • Understanding of Financial Services
  • Understanding of Fraud and Credit Ops
  • Knowledge of Data Lakes/Marts
  • Experience or have knowledge of using Snowflake
