Collections Strategy Analyst

 

Hybrid role 50/50

Working at our iconic office in Leeds, and virtually via Microsoft Teams

Requirements: Experience in Collections or Financial Services and either SQL or Python

 

Your new role at NewDay

The Collections Strategy Analyst will be a key contributor to the Collections Strategy and Debt Sale team at NewDay.

This role involves understanding the business needs and formulating and implementing the appropriate analytical solution, improvement and development of reporting and consolidating information into presentable formats for Senior Colleagues.

The role covers a range of touch points looking at Customer outcome, Portfolio performance, Strategy Delivery and performance, and Operational performance along with supporting Debt Sale process

 

In your first 12 months you’ll deliver

 

  • Performance Monitoring and analysis of portfolio and operational performance
  • Creating, optimisation and maintaining reporting solutions
  • Interrogation and manipulation of large data sets to interpret trends and critical metrics
  • Consolidating information into presentable format for Senior Management & Colleagues
  • Developing and enhancing strategies which are focused on improving the customer journey through the collection life cycle
  • Working with Operations to implement changes and improvements through a continuous feedback loop
  • Ability to handle multiple areas of work and contending priorities. Accountable for producing clear and accurate information

 

What you’ll bring

 

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:  

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL/Excel with experience of manipulating complex data to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to present findings & analysis in a structured way, particularly when addressing a non-expert audience.
  • Collaborative operating style with ability and mind-set to get stuck in and support wider team objectives.

 

And would love you to know or learn:

  • Experience working on/with consumer lending products (cards / embedded finance / loans / mortgages) and the regulatory environment they operate in.
  • Previous P&L exposure and familiarity reviewing financial performance.
  • Experience using Python / Tableau or similar programs (PowerBi or R).
