Your Role

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in leading strategic projects that directly impact our financial accounting practices. You’ll collaborate with various teams across the business, ensuring that changes are implemented accurately and on time, and that our financial processes are aligned with the Group’s accounting policies.

What You’ll Deliver in the First 12 Months:

• Lead Strategic Projects: Take charge of projects that impact financial accounting, ensuring Finance requirements are met and implemented seamlessly.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Represent Financial Accounting in project working groups and change forums, assessing and addressing any impacts on financial processes.
• Policy Development: Create and implement new policies to address risks or gaps, ensuring they align with Group accounting standards.
• Audit Support: Manage the relationship with external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process for strategic projects.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process and control improvements within the Financial Control Framework.

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA Qualified Accountant: With a strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience in implementing accounting policies.
• Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a desire to understand the broader business implications of your work.
• Strong Communicator: Able to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Resilient Leader: Capable of delivering high-quality outputs under challenging project timelines, with strong organisational skills.
• Risk Management: Awareness of risks and control issues, with the ability to respond quickly and escalate as needed.
