Your new role at NewDay  

Join us as a Risk Specialist in our Finance & Operations org and become an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to outstanding risk management and world-class business support. Contribute to a highly effective and efficient risk management function while partnering with functional management teams across the teams. Your role will be pivotal in performing detailed and diligent reviews of existing risk mitigation measures and control arrangements and providing day-to-day risk management support to the business. 

Our team is ambitious, committed to continuous improvement, and we strive to provide risk assurance through a proven partnership model, ensuring robust risk management. You will actively influence the effective management of risk. 

You’ll deliver 

  • Embodiment of NewDay’s risk management culture, living by our Manifesto and Values. 

  • Assistance in guiding our business Vertical and functional areas in day-to-day risk management. 

  • Evaluation of the design adequacy and operational effectiveness of control activities to the assessment of business processes. 

  • Support in maintaining governance documentation, considering risk during project activities, and formulating solutions to address identified issues. 

What you’ll bring  

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:   

  • Enterprise risk management, including support and provision of advice to drive strategic goals. 

  • Internal control standards and regulatory requirements. 

And would love you to know or learn:  

  • Operational and financial controls in FS. 

  • Accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA or working towards it.
