About the role

Our Browns Plains office has a team of dedicated lawyers committed to supporting our local community. With a proven track record of success with complex legal matters and a deep understanding of Queensland’s compensation schemes, we are looking for an energic client focused Lawyer to join our close knit-team.

You will have extensive experience in personal injuries law and will be ensuring our clients in the Logan and Bayside regions receive the best results against big corporations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with clients, and taking instructions
  • Review and analysis of records
  • Drafting written communications to clients
  • Briefing medical experts, and allied health professionals
  • Drafting court documents
  • Attending court for procedural hearings
  • Briefing and liaising with barristers

The experience we are looking for 

We are looking for someone with a strong client service focus, personable approach, and commitment to social justice to join our Browns Plains team as an experienced Lawyer. You will ideally have 5+ years PAE however if you have a strong desire to forge a career within this space we want to hear from you.  In addition, you will have:

  • A valid practising certificate;
  • Proven experience in handling Workers' Compensation, Public Liability and Compulsory Third-Party claims
  • Demonstrated proficiency in litigation
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at fostering relationships and trust.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong organisational skills, with high attention to detail;
  • Excellent time management skills, and commitment to drive matters to resolution in a timely manner;
  • The ability to communicate with clients from different backgrounds and;
  • A solutions focused outlook with a proactive approach to deliver quality outcomes
  • An Accredited Specialisation in Personal Injuries would be advantageous however not essential.
