About the role:

As part of the Learning and Teaching team, the Senior Educational Designer will collaborate with academic staff to develop innovative curriculum design projects and lead a small team of Educational Designers. Your work will contribute to the University’s vision for a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
This role places a strong focus on Indigenous education and cultural inclusion, supporting faculties in embedding First Nations perspectives into curriculum design and educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance on embedding First Nation perspectives and knowledge in curriculum and educational design.
Supervise and support a small team of Educational Designers to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
Collaborate with academic staff to design, develop, and review resources, units, courses, and programs.
Identify and manage curriculum projects that align with the University’s strategic goals.
Develop and deliver professional development initiatives to enhance teaching capabilities.
Contribute to innovation in learning, including the use of AI and emerging pedagogical trends.
Support evaluation and review processes to ensure evidence-based teaching practices.
Build strong and respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and individuals.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Practical industry experience as an educational professional
Experience in curriculum design, educational technology, and learning development.
A strong understanding of Indigenous perspectives and experience integrating them into educational content.
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team to achieve project goals.
A Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and with diverse stakeholders.
A commitment to inclusive and innovative educational practices.
