About the opportunity:
An exceptional opportunity awaits a dedicated and visionary individual to join the School of Nursing and Midwifery in a prestigious ongoing professorial appointment. As a Professor/Associate of Midwifery, you will take on a leadership role, driving excellence in research, teaching, and learning while shaping the future of midwifery education.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of innovative research, teaching, and learning initiatives in midwifery.
Actively support UC’s Reconciliation Action Plan, fostering cultural inclusivity.
Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with industry, government, and community organizations.
Mentor and inspire emerging researchers and students to excel in their academic and professional careers.
Champion curriculum development and uphold educational excellence.
Requirements:
PhD in Midwifery (or a related field)
Applicants should be registered with AHPRA as a Midwife in Australia or eligible to register
A track record of research publications, higher degree research student supervision and potential to secure competitive grant funding relative to Level of Appointment
A demonstrated ability to provide high quality education to undergraduate and post graduate students
Evidence of mentoring and supervising early to mid-career researchers
High level interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and establish effective relationships with staff, students and industry stakeholders
Previous academic leadership experience
