About the role:
We are recruiting for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Coordinator (Internships) to join our Careers UC team. In this role, you will oversee and drive a variety of WIL and employability programs, serving as the primary contact for industry engagement and ensuring all activities meet compliance standards. You’ll be instrumental in enhancing the internship and placement experience at UC by streamlining processes, fostering stakeholder collaboration, and delivering impactful outcomes for students and partners alike.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate and support internship and placement activities
Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners
Identify and promote new WIL opportunities
Lead and manage staff to ensure effective administration, compliance, and timely delivery of internship programs and educational placements.
Oversee industry placement systems such as InPlace
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Develop educational resources and training materials to support WIL and employability outcomes.
Provide expert advice on WIL compliance, including agreements, insurance, and policy adherence.
Represent Careers UC in internal and external forums.
Support career development activities including workshops, student consultations, and industry events.
Manage Careers UC’s social media platforms
About you:
You are a proactive and collaborative professional with a strong background in WIL coordination, stakeholder engagement, and compliance management. You thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to enhancing student success through meaningful industry experiences. Your skills & experience should include:
Higher Education sector understanding with demonstrated experience coordinating internships or WIL programs.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Proficiency in placement management systems are desirable (e.g., InPlace,).
International internship understanding (highly regarded)
Knowledge of TEQSA guidelines and WIL policy frameworks.
Experience in developing educational resources and delivering training (desired).
