About the role
Due to a period of Parental Leave, an exciting opportunity exists for a Lawyer who has 4-6 years PAE to join the in-house Legal and Company Secretarial Team on a 12-month contract. We encourage applications from those looking for full time, part time or flexible hours.
You will be a trusted advisor that provides high-quality, strategic, and pragmatic legal advice to ASX listed company, Harvey Norman Holdings Limited, and each subsidiary (the Company), across a diverse range of matters and stakeholders, including senior management and executives.
Anything with a legal flavour will hit your desk! Such matters may include, but are not limited to, a broad variety of commercial, technology, sponsorship, promotional, financial agreements; and advising on matters of corporate and commercial law, consumer law, finance, regulatory compliance, privacy, intellectual property.
About you
Confident in your exceptional communication, negotiation and problem solving skills along with your commercial relationship management, you will also:
- Be flexible in a fast-paced environment, be innovative, have the confidence to question the status-quo, and have a genuine and sincere approach to mentoring others;
- Have strong written drafting skills that can be tailored to suit each stakeholder;
- Demonstrated ability of multi-tasking, prioritising workload, and working autonomously.
- Have a minimum of 4 to 6 years post admission experience, ideally with experience at a reputable in-house firm; and
- have a current, unrestricted NSW Practicing Certificate or eligibility to acquire one.
