This is a full time position in our Wellington Commercial Business.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate and juggle a full spectrum of administration tasks for the Commercial sales team including, invoicing, purchase orders, branch transfers, debtors reference checks.
  • Managing customer accounts
  • Payroll
  • Provide quotes as requested, ensuring pricing is accurate and correct, liaise with Customers / Sales Manager ensuring clear communication regarding products ordered and time frames for delivery.
  • Occasionally meet customers in person on shop floor to show display products.
  • Follow up purchase orders with suppliers and coordinating delivery schedules with customer orders.
  • Ensure debtor statements / invoice copies are issued on time; follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Follow up all Direct Deliveries in accordance with Commercial Department procedure.
  • Regularly review all Tenders, communicating with construction and other relevant companies/individuals and staff to ensure opportunity to quote.
  • Manage a database of specifiers, builders, developers, construction companies, kitchen designers, joiners and architects, and provide them with required information including e-newsletters.
  • Manage, attend to, and follow up customer complaints as requested by the Proprietor/Sales Manager.
  • Assist the department with stock take preparation and execution, including being available for the duration of stock take if requested.

The skills and experience you’ll need to bring with you include:

  • Previous experience in a busy Administration role.
  • Ability to work with numbers.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft office with good Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships quickly.
  • Persistent with a high level of work ethic and professionalism.
  • Experience with commercial products such as cookware, refrigeration, laundry, heating and audio visual goods (desirable but not required).
  • Professional demeanour, good sense of humour, down to earth, approachable and work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
