Harvey Norman Manukau has a fabulous opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our office due to an internal promotion.
Working out of our retail store in the heart of Manukau Supa Centa, this role is part of the central admin team of 6 supporting the retail departments for all their administrative needs.

This is a Full Time Monday to Friday role (9am-5.30pm) allowing for great work-life balance. 

Our admin teams play a crucial role in ensuring our back-end functions run smoothly, in this role you will:  

  • Provide accurate and efficient support in all areas of administration.
  • Match all delivery dockets received from the warehouse to invoices, identifying and rectifying issues and queries.  
  • Process invoices, expenses, journals, credit notes and claims in preparation for payment.
  • Collate internal reviews and reports, investigating variances and ensuring standards are met.
  • Maintain a first-class filing system of all documentation.
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls in a friendly, polite, and helpful manner.
  • Collate daily reports and end of month reviews as needed, assisting in analysis and reconciliations.  
  • Ensure floats are balanced and ready for tills prior to store opening and balance banking.
  • Applying invoice payments from bank statements and internal transfers, including debtor follow-ups and finance contract submissions. 
  • Uphold company procedures, standards and data integrity.

Experience within the retail industry or administration would be advantageous, however the main attributes we are looking for are: 

  • Organisational and administrative skills, and great attention to detail.
  • Being a team player and wanting to work in a close-knit environment with mutual support and a positive company culture.
  • Having a natural affinity for creating order and following processes.
  • Technical aptitude and confident computer skills, picking up new systems easily. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, building and maintaining essential relationships.
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions and provide solutions.
