The Opportunity
MinRes is seeking a competent and proficient Condition Monitoring Technician to join our Wodgina Processing Operation. As the Conditioning Monitoring Technician, you will monitor several fixed plant assets, liaise with numerous key stakeholders, and provide expert advice while adhering to MinRes Safety Processes and Procedures.
This is a full-time position working an 8:6 Roster and reporting to our Maintenance Superintendent.
- Perform vibration analysis on rotating equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, mills, and gearboxes. Interpret vibration data to identify potential faults and predict maintenance requirements
- Collect and record vibration data and other relevant condition monitoring parameters. Generate detailed reports, highlighting equipment performance, faults detected, and any maintenance recommendations
- Work closely with the maintenance and engineering team to prioritise equipment repairs and replacements based on condition monitoring data
- Assist in developing and executing predictive maintenance programs. Use condition monitoring data to schedule maintenance activities and avoid unplanned downtime
- Perform routine inspections of equipment, check for abnormalities, and ensure that all condition monitoring equipment is in proper working order
- Adhere to MinRes safety procedures while conducting condition monitoring activities. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations during the execution of tasks
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive years of experience in condition monitoring, including vibration analysis of rotating equipment in a fixed plant environment
- Mechanical Trade Certificate or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working with various types of rotating equipment such as conveyors, screens, motors, gearboxes, and pumps
- Knowledge and experience in analysis software such as Emerson
- Capable of collecting, storing and reviewing condition monitoring data.
- Capable of generating reporting of all condition monitoring surveys in a timely manner with high quality
- Knowledge of mechanical fault diagnosis, including misalignment, imbalance, bearing failure, and other mechanical issues

The Wodgina lithium operation is located 120km south of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining operations at Wodgina, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual capacity of 900,000 tonnes (SC5.5).
