The Opportunity
MRL is seeking an experienced and visionary PMO Manager to lead the project management function within our Digital Technology & Services division. This high-profile role provides strategic direction, ensuring initiatives drive value, align with organisational priorities, and deliver operational excellence and transformational change.
As PMO Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping and evolving project management frameworks while enabling and inspiring your team of Analysts and Project Managers. Your technical expertise and exceptional people leadership skills will empower your team to deliver agile, business-centric solutions that meet and exceed the ever-evolving needs of the organisation.
This role is on a Monday to Friday roster, based in our Head Office at Osborne Park.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Spearhead the design and delivery of Digital Technology Services projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Promote good governance and enable efficient delivery through a practical project delivery methodology, resource allocation and business reporting.
- Work closely with DTS Operations to oversee delivery, KPI achievement, integration, and operational optimisation.
- Develop and maintain project reporting, analytics, and governance processes.
- Champion continuous improvement and process innovation, embedding change management best practice.
- Provide technical leadership, ensuring integration with enterprise systems and cybersecurity standards.
- Develop and implement effective project communication frameworks for all stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cross-functional team.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment focused on growth, innovation, and wellbeing.
- Act as a key liaison between Project teams, business units, and technical teams to align delivery with business strategy.
About You
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security or similar.
- Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Extensive experience in a similar leadership role, with a proven record of delivering business-led software solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams and collaborating across functions.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and governance.
- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management and risk mitigation.
- Significant experience engaging with stakeholders, aligning technology and business objectives, and communicating complex concepts simply.
