About This Role:

This position performs preventative maintenance, repairs and service work on machinery, equipment, tools, buildings and/or fixtures. Repairs drywall and plaster, strips and paints parking lots, cleans facilities and equipment and responds to maintenance request. Performs safety inspections on emergency equipment.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires six months of relevant experience. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by a hiring manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years experience in a farming environment including opportunities to maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment. Vocational training in diesel mechanics, automotive mechanics, gasoline engine repair, welding, and electrical wiring.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, in order to work independently, carry out instructions, direct others and exchange information. Knowledge of modern farming operations and skills in operation of large farm equipment. Knowledge of the principles of internal combustion engines and demonstrated proficiency in diesel mechanics, automotive mechanics, small engine and motor repair, sheet metal, welding and supervision of other employees preferred. Knowledge of standard practices, methods, occupational hazards, and maintenance of automotive and related equipment. The incumbent should have skills necessary to locate and adjust defects in motor equipment, work from schematic drawings and maintenance and repair manuals, and to keep service records.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$36,070 - $55,901 ($17.34 - $26.88 per hour)
