About This Role:
|
The Admissions Representative will execute the department’s marketing and recruitment plan. This position will be dedicated to the department’s mission and goal, providing leadership and managing activities related to marketing and student recruitment. This position will be the primary point of contact for prospective students, faculty, recruitment committee, UG teaching coordinator and the department head; represent the Department of Grain Science and Industry (GSI) at on-and off-campus recruiting events.
This position will be responsible for the coordination of on-campus visits and events (in-person and virtual) for prospective students. This includes meeting with prospective students and their family/guests, developing and arranging visits with GSI faculty advisors, creating new and innovative experiences for prospective students, and coordinating department efforts with the College of Agriculture and K-State Office of Recruitment and Admissions.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of post-baccalaureate relevant work experience
- Broad base knowledge of grain processing and related fields
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and within groups
- Experience working with college or high school students
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and/or Communications
- Experience as admissions representative, academic advisor, recruiter, or events coordinator
Other Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends. Travel both in-state and out-of-state is required. Valid driver’s license upon employment.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$46,000 - $55,000 ($22.12-$24.04 hourly)
