The Department of Special Education, Counseling and Student Affairs in the College of Education at Kansas State University (K-State) invites applications for an open-rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) professor in counselor education for the Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and Ed.S. in School Counseling programs. The position offers the successful candidate an opportunity for providing programmatic leadership in counselor education along with collaboration with award-winning colleagues and students at a Research I university.
This position is based at the main campus in Manhattan, Kansas. Must be license-eligible in Kansas as an LPC, LCPC and/or school counselor license.
Responsibilities
The position involves teaching graduate courses for Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and Ed.S. in School Counseling programs. The courses in these programs are offered via online instruction, either synchronously or asynchronously, and may incorporate supervision. Other responsibilities include engaging in research and creative endeavors, ensuring continued alignment of counseling programs with the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) standards, advising graduate students, seeking external funding, providing service, participating in faculty governance, and being involved with professional counseling organizations at the state, regional, and national levels.
