Research Assistant
About This Role
The Department of Anatomy & Physiology with the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Research Assistant. This research position involves planning and executing experiments (cell culture, protein expression/purification, molecular cloning, Western blotting, animal blood collection and sample processing) under PI supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed laboratory records, equipment setup/maintenance, and help the PI prepare research proposals and manuscripts.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent in a biological science (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Virology, or Biomedical Sciences) highly preferred.
- A Master's degree or equivalent in a biological science (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Virology, or Biomedical Sciences).
- Protein Expression and Purification Experience.
- Experience in animal handling including blood collection, and sample processing. Specifically, prior experience with dogs is strongly preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
