Occupancy Coord. & Revenue Analyst

About This Role

This position coordinates occupancy for approximately 4,500 students in 9 residence halls and 2 scholarship houses; analyzes revenue prospects for all on-campus housing; and generates tactical plans to ensure minimization of vacancy rates and maximization of revenues. The position is part of a team who demonstrate exceptional customer care and enjoy the opportunity for daily interactions with students and parents.

Duties include:

  • Maintain transfer listing and update occupancy database for all residence halls.
  • Explain contract cancellation process and associated costs for cancellation to students and/or parents. Implement residence hall consolidation processes.
  • Coordinate residence hall and room assignment of students.
  • Participate in resident space reservation process.
  • Manage housing contract change request information.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding assignments and occupancy, contract cancellation policies and procedures.
  • Complete other assignments, to include: compile and analyze data and prepare various reports; monitor housing trends; suggest revenue boosting strategies; participate in periodic reviews of billing practices and receivables; enter post-occupancy residence hall cancellations; prepare daily deposits; participate in summer orientation and enrollment events. Collaborate in the activation of door and meal access plans; cover for other team members as needed.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree.  This position may use an educational equivalency as determined by a hiring manager.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree - Business, Statistics or Economics preferred
  • Two years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge or experience living or working in a college or university residence hall environment
  • Experience in a customer service environment and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer care
  • Strong computer skills to include demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office environment. Experience should include  Excel spreadsheets and merging data from one database to another
  • Great attention to detail
  • Desire knowledge of office practices and procedures, economics and statistical projections
  • Knowledge of cash reconciliation and basic accounting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse population both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies and procedures

Other Requirements:

Occasional (3-4 times per year) evening and/or week-end work.

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range

$20.30 - $21.50 per hour
