About This Role
The Department of Anatomy and Physiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a post-doctoral position in clinical pharmacology. This position will provide an opportunity to contribute to the department research, teaching, and outreach missions while completing a residency leading to sitting for the qualifying exam of the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology. Candidates should enjoy working individually and as a team in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary research environment.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the areas of pharmacology and clinical pharmacology and have an interest in advancing the specialty of clinical pharmacology through research, teaching, and outreach. Duties will include design and conduct of clinical trials and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic studies. Teaching opportunities will include graduate and professional courses.
About Us
The Department of Anatomy and Physiology is multi-disciplinary with responsibilities in instruction, research, service and continuing education including the disciplines of gross and microscopic anatomy, cell and systems physiology, pharmacology, toxicology and neuroscience. Research strengths in the department include: epithelial physiology, electrophysiology, exercise physiology and heart failure, animal welfare and pain management, neuroscience, stem cell biology, toxicology, teaching methods, and veterinary clinical pharmacology.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and PhD in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Primary care responsibility demonstrated in at least one veterinary species.
- Experience in conducting studies related to veterinary pharmaceuticals.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
