Program Lead - Applied Learning Experiences

About This Role

The Program Lead – Applied Learning Experiences is responsible for managing the operational, strategic, and administrative functions of the College of Business’s efforts to implement Kansas State University’s new graduation requirement for Applied Learning Experiences (ALE). This role will design, coordinate, and continuously improve processes that ensure every business student completes a meaningful applied learning experience before graduation. This visible, high-impact position connects academic learning with real‑world application through internships, research, leadership, global experiences, and community engagement. The successful candidate will build partnerships with faculty, advisors, as well as external stakeholders, including employers, alumni, and community partners, to expand opportunities and strengthen outcomes.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business, education administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a business school or on applied learning initiatives.
  • Familiarity with experiential learning frameworks and workforce development trends.
  • Experience with assessment, data reporting, and partnership development with employers or alumni.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
