The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is in search of a Procurement Officer I. This position will be responsible for working with the procurement officer 1 and procurement assistant currently employed. The tasks associated with assisting with the inventory system will include coordinate and facilitate acquisition of goods, review and analyzes purchase requisitions, investigates and develop sources of supplies, review quotations, along with receiving incoming supply orders, completing received product counts, scanning product bar codes, record keeping, and shelving products in their proper location(s). The person in this position will also be required to be a back-up for ordering supply products, including CO2 gas tanks. Other duties include product-supply collection and delivery to each necessary laboratory section, located in three separate buildings, to assure that each section has the needed products for all there testing requirements. This position will also be a back-up for sterile processing for KVDL.
