Veterinary Nurse III
This position provides specialized veterinary support and performs semi-routine tasks to assist with laboratory needs during junior surgery and clinical skills courses, as well as assisting with other DCS courses. Duties will include working with large animals and shelter dogs. The fall semester primarily works with shelter dogs and the spring semester is large animal focused and labs consist of bovine, equine and small ruminant patients. The employee provides assistance in the care of patients through independently performing technical procedures and administering treatments. This position requires the ability to be a forward thinker. The ability to anticipate the next step or anticipating the need for extra safety measures in relation to student/personnel safety or biosecurity measures. The successful candidate should be an effective communicator.
