Adjunct Instructor Position in Supply Chain Management

The Citadel’s Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business continues to grow!  The Citadel is ranked the #1 Public College in the South offering up to a master’s degree twelve consecutive years and one of the Ten Best Undergraduate Teaching Schools in the South by U.S. News and World Report. We have innovative new academic programs, and a new business building, Bastin Hall, that opened Spring 2021. The ideal candidate will contribute to in-person, face-to-face course offerings and asynchronous online course offerings in Supply Chain Management at the undergraduate level. The Baker School of Business is AACSB-accredited and offers a traditional residential undergraduate program to members of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets (SCCC) in a military-college setting an undergraduate degree completion program.

 

Job Responsibilities:

The Baker School of Business invites applications for an adjunct position in Supply Chain Management beginning in August 2023. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses using both traditional and online delivery methods. The teaching load for this position is one to two courses per semester. Opportunities for summer teaching and additional compensation may also arise.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have an earned Master’s Degree in a business discipline from an AACSB-accredited university, have relevant industry experience in the discipline, and be qualified to teach courses in Supply Chain Management at the undergraduate level. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Candidates holding a PhD or DBA from an AACSB-accredited university are highly encouraged to apply. Online teaching experience in Canvas LMS is preferred but not required.  Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach one or more of the following courses:  Principles of Operations Management, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Purchasing and Materials Management, or SAP-related Special Topics Courses. Relevant experience in industry, the military, or other organizational contexts is preferred but not required.

The Citadel, also known as the Military College of South Carolina, is a public senior military college located in Charleston, South Carolina. Founded in 1842, The Citadel has a rich history and a heritage of excellence in education, emphasizing leadership development.
