The Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures welcomes applications for adjunct faculty instructors in Chinese for Fall 2023 and beyond. This position would be responsible for teaching first through third-year language courses, course availability varies depending on schedule and departmental needs. The Citadel’s goal is to build long-term relationships with high-quality part-time faculty members who are committed to developing principled, well-rounded leaders who appreciate the value of being culturally and linguistically proficient in world languages other than their own.
This job posting is not for a specific assignment or for a full-time faculty position, but rather for a pool of candidates who may be considered.
Minimum Qualifications:
The position requires near native fluency in both English and Chinese. A Master’s degree in Chinese or a Master's degree in another subject with 18 hours of graduate-level study in Chinese or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with undergraduate teaching and the learning management system Canvas preferred.
