The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applications for a Technology Assistant in the Information and Technology Services department. This role will work as a member of The Citadel’s Information Technology Services team to provide technical IT support to the College’s Faculty and Staff.

Job Responsibilities:

Resolve user requests in person. Assist users in computer labs; manage lab resource levels. Transport, stock, and fill lab paper and toner inventory. Promote ITS services. Compile information, policies, and procedures. Capture screenshots and develop user-friendly brochures and informational flyers. Collaborate with ITS staff on departmental projects and initiatives. 

Workplace or on-the-job training constitutes a majority of the skill-based learning experience for this position.  Learning quickly and retaining knowledge are crucial aspects to success.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.

Excellent customer service skills; strong commitment to customer service. Understanding and appreciation for needs of users in an academic environment and diverse user community.  Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, self starter. Must be prompt and responsible.  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  Must have the ability to drive a van and golf cart; must have a valid SC driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Customer service experience. Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
