The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applicants for an Student Services Program Coordinator in the School of Engineering, Emmett Davis Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering. This role will work directly with faculty, students, staff and administration to support highly accomplished academic programs in the Department and School of Engineering.
The Student Services Program Coordinator will be responsible for and assist with the following duties:
Student Services/Academic Support
- Support student advising and support for academic success
- Provides support for student organization meetings, events, travel and academic competitions
- Assists with collection of student data; including graduation, attrition, retention, and job placement
- Collaborates with Director of Student Engagement to provide and improve services to students
- Assists with the scheduling of Spring, Summer and Fall classes for assigned departments
Recruiting/Marketing/Outreach
- Assists with the support and logistics of special events; field trips, guest speakers, student recruiting events, career fairs, and engineering profession meetings.
- Maintain and update department webpages, marketing collateral, social media posts, recruitment material
- Responds to inquiries from prospective students, stakeholders, and general public about engineering programs at The Citadel
Administrative Support
- Supports technical research projects and educational grants
- Assists in maintaining educational files and data collection; provides support for program accreditation, annual outcomes assessment and coordinates academic catalog curriculum changes.
- Coordinates scholarship/awards programs, event scheduling, event catering, Spring/Fall Advisory Board Meetings, orders necessary supplies and purchases the department
- Supports faculty, Department Head, and Dean administrative needs as required
- Coordinates purchasing, stipend payments, and reimbursements for department faculty/staff
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or higher. Must have previous experience working as an administrative support staff. Expertise in Microsoft Office. The ability to problem solve in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, along with the ability to work independently in completing special projects is required. May be required to adjust work hours for special events and training.
