Job Responsibilties
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applicants for a Postal Specialist at The Citadel Post Office (CPU). The responsibilties of this role include the following:
- Extensive knowledge of postal policies, procedures, rules and regulations for processing and distributing mail
- Superior customer service and sales skills to operate the postal retail window
- Ability to accurately maintain cash drawer and stamp stock
- Ability to navigate and process packages through Package Tracking Systems and Software
- Must be able to work in close quarters and under very busy times
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma and at least one(1) year of postal operations experience or equivalent combination of education, training or experience
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Ability to work independently and effectively with students, faculty, staff and community
- Ability to exercise initiative and judgement
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule
