The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting a grant-funded, Project Coordinator that will assist Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences and Citadel DoD Cyber Institute with managing external cyber-related grants. He/she will work with Head of Department/PI of DoW CSA Grant, Director of Citadel DoD Cyber Institute and other units on campus for successful operations of the externally funded projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Head of Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences / PI for DoW CSA Grant and Director of Citadel DoD Cyber Institute assisting in the management of small to midsize projects and resources with the objective of meeting requirements and expectations within the limits of budget, timeline, and policies.
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations of the cyber grant funded projects.
- Monitor budget for cyber-related external grants and assist Head of Department/PI of DoW CSA Grant and Director of Citadel DoD Cyber Institute with submission of budget modification and no-cost extension requests to the funding agency (with the assistance of the Office of Research and Grants) when necessary.
- Maintain documents for DoW CSA Scholars and coordinate with DoW CSA Program Office and Office of Financial Aid.
- Maintain documents for the Cyber Leader Development Program Cohorts and coordinate with Norwich University and Citadel DoD Cyber Institute Team.
- Assist Director/PI in organizing outreach events for the Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences and Citadel DoD Cyber Institute.
- Assist Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences and Citadel DoD Cyber Institute in organizing Conferences/Workshops funded by external grants.
- Supervise Graduate Assistants in maintaining website, newsletter & survey sites.
- Provide support for meetings and presentations as required.
- Other tasks and projects as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education or a related field
- 2 years project coordination/project management experience is required
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an academic community
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Certificate in Project Management
- Accounting or financial experience background
