The Citadel’s German Program is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach one course this fall, starting August 2026, with opportunities for continued teaching beyond the fall semester. Subject to experience and availability, teaching assignment may be for beginning through intermediate language and cultural instruction. All of our courses are taught in person in German and are scheduled weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Either a TR or MWF schedule can be arranged.

Minimum Qualifications: The position requires near native fluency in both English and German and a master’s degree in German, or a master’s degree in another subject with 18 hours of graduate-level study in German or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with undergraduate teaching preferred.
